AcceleratXR Introduces App Hub, Support for AWS for Games

LOS ANGELES, March 23, 2022 – AcceleratXR today announced its new application launcher and virtual player hub, further expanding its powerful online game and metaverse platform. The company is offering developers, large and small, the ability to quickly develop and publish connected experiences using a single turn-key low-code development toolset.

The new launcher is the result of a collaboration between AcceleratXR and Redpill VR, a social music platform for virtual reality (VR). The two companies began working closely together in early 2020 to accelerate their time to market while lowering the development costs. Using AcceleratXR’s unique metaverse platform and the new launcher, the two companies have created one of the most compelling VR products more quickly than thought possible.

“Redpill VR is an incredibly immersive virtual reality experience. The attention to detail that Laurent and his team have achieved is a work of art,” said Jean-Philippe Steinmetz, Chief Executive Officer at AcceleratXR. I am incredibly proud of the fact that AcceleratXR technology is at the heart of it, leveraging our metaverse platform as well as the new launcher we developed together. We are very excited to share this with developers looking to build their own digital ecosystem.”

“We consider AXR to be a vital infrastructure partner co-developing with us the foundation for a scalable, nextgen, immersive, and live virtual music performance venue platform,” said Laurent Scallie, Chief Executive Officer at Redpill VR.

The company also announced support for the AWS for Games initiative from Amazon Web Services (AWS). The company has dramatically simplified deployment of its metaverse platform with the introduction of the new AcceleratXR Operator for Kubernetes. Customers can now quickly and easily deploy AcceleratXR to new and existing Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS) clusters, bringing their cost saving tools to even more game developers. Through purchase in the AWS Marketplace, game developers can have a production-ready online multi-player platform in a matter of minutes.

“We are thrilled to work with AWS for Games and be able to offer our platform to even more game developers. AWS’s easytouse and reliable Amazon EKS makes deploying the AcceleratXR platform even easier and faster so that developers can focus on what they do best, making great games.”, continued Jean-Philippe.

“We’re excited to work with AcceleratXR to further empower game developers to build amazing, successful, and fun games,” said Lucien Parsons, Global Partner Leader, at AWS Game Tech. “As more games offer live services and connected experiences in their games, developers need a diverse set of solutions to use. Working with AcceleratXR on AWS for Games gives developers more solutions to use so teams can focus more on creating fun player experiences.”
